Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Board Member
After a 12-year professional hockey playing career stretching from North America to Europe, Mr. Schuler Co-Founded ProSmart in 2013 while experiencing first hand the significant gap in the way volunteer coaches, across all sports, were supported at a grassroots level. Mr. Schuler’s lifelong passion for sports and appreciation for the communities who make it all possible, inspired his vision; develop a sports dedicated platform employing exceptional technology to deliver a new standard of supportive resources to all grass roots sports participants everywhere. The goal of the platform was to enable a better experience in sport for the broadest community, ultimately, supporting the growth of athletes and the sports that fuel their passions.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Schuler has leveraged his personal network and brought together an experienced results-driven team capable of taking a leadership position within the massive $1.3 trillion sports marketplace. From there he successfully brokered ProSmart’s acquisition by Sora Capital Corp (now ProSmart Enterprises Inc.) and transitioned his role in to President & Chief Executive Officer of the parent company. Now as a public company (PROS:TSXV), Mr. Schuler is highly focused on ensuring the company is well positioned at every level to deliver a leading niche sports network platform that enables learning, connecting and sharing on a global scale.
Prior to Co-Founding ProSmart, Mr. Schuler gained extensive financial services and private equity experience through his roles as Vice President of Business Development for StoneTower Financial Solutions and as Managing Partner for WestVine Capital Partners.
